Makeovers

Last week I got to do makeovers for 4 awesome ladies!  My friend Joy gets together with a group of her friends from college one week a year.  A couple years ago they went on a cruise, and this year they all flew out here to Pennsylvania and did stuff in Baltimore, Virginia and D.C.  Well, for one of the days, Joy asked me to come makeover everyone!  We had a blast!  They were all so much fun!  This was no run of the mill makeovers either.  We did crazy, wild colors.  Blue, red, purple tips on one lady.  Another one wanted to hot red highlights.  We did hair, makeup, and then some pictures.  Here's the results.
This was Hillary!  She was such a fun gal!  She does eyelash extensions back in Idaho.  I just thought she was beautiful!
Can you say model??  This is Stephanie.  She's from West Virginia.  She has five children and is a super woman i think!  She was so much fun to talk to and probably one of the biggest doses of self esteem boosters I've had in a long time!  She was so generous with compliments all day long.... as the day was ending she wanted to know if she could adopt me.  Seriously, yes.... yes you can!  You can be my fourth sister.
This is Tina.  She has the prettiest naturally curly hair ever.  Even though you can't see it as well because of her dark brown hair, she's the one with purple, blue, and red tips.  This lady here was the biggest transformation though.  She NEVER wears makeup, only plucked her brows once but seriously such a natural beauty.  I was sooooo happy she let me get my hands on her to pluck and makeup her up!!!  Not that she needs it but still!
This be my friend Joy!  She's a pill!  Ha.  She'd gotten a perm recently so we just did a haircut!  She never wears makeup either so I went to town on her as well.
These four met each other in Maryland 16 years ago.  They were all employed as nannies and were led into each other's paths.  I just think it's the coolest thing that they do these girl weekends/weeks!  I need to start something like that!!!  You all look hott, hott, hott!

My kids

Oh, boy I love these two!  Despite the messes, the tantrums, and the juggling of two little ones... they really are my world!!!  Peyton is expanding his vocabulary daily.  Lots of times he'll say something that surprises me.  I ask him where he learned it and he will 100% of the time reply, "Nursery wit Sister Golden."  He just loves nursery now, which is such a blessing!  It's funny though, how alike Sadie and Peyton are.  Peyton started becoming very attached to me all of sudden when he was about Sadie's age.  He didn't grow out of it till just a couple months ago when we were finally able to leave him in nursery alone.  Well, looks like Sadie is following in his footsteps.  She HATES other people holding her.  I daresay that Peyton didn't like it either but Sadie is a little drama queen about it.  She tries to launch herself out of their arms, she'll wail like the world is ending.  Then the minute she's put into my arms, she'll stop instantly and turn bright and cheery.  What a pill!  So here goes another couple years of never being able to leave my babie's side.  haha.  The wonderful part of it is..... when Peyton was like this I would worry so much about it and really hope and pray he wouldn't be like that forever.  I loved that he needed me but I wanted him to be independent as well.  I wanted him to feel the richness of friendships, the good times with babysitters, the snacks in nursery, be able to converse with others, and on and on.  He's doing it all, it just took some time.  I definitely know I"m a little worrisome when it comes to my children, I just want to do my very best at raising them.

Peyton loves to snuggle in blankets first thing in the morning while he's waiting for the house to heat up after I turn on the heater.  This little guy is such a ball of joy!  He's really stubborn, a tender heart, mess maker, curious, smart, handsome, social, etc etc.  Now that he's talking in full sentences, there are times that he'll get so excited about what he's telling Eric and I that it's very difficult for him to get it all out.  He starts stuttering like crazy.  Some days I worry about that too but i know he'll grow out of it so most of the time I just think it's adorable.  Half the time he's telling me how the world is supposed to go and teh other half of the time he's asking questions.  The other day we were reading books and there was a picture of a mouse by a pot of honey.  Peyton got very adamant and said, "Only bears, and pooh eat honey. Not mouse." A different day he had a huge booger hanging out his nose........  come on, as a mom you just can't let it hang there.  So I pick it off and wiped it on his pants.  He says, "Mommy, why you putting booger on my pants?"  I told him because I didn't want it on me. And he says, "NOOO, mommy it goes in the booger cave."  huh?  ha

Sadie is just a sweet little peanut!!!  She's definitely got some sass!  I'm so excited because everyday she seems to be getting more and more personality.  Well, she's prolly had the personality all along but she's just getting old enough to show it!  Everytime we say, "night, night."  She'll wave her little hand back and forth saying bye to everyone.  She does the most hilarious faces.  When I was feeding her some cinnamon roll she would scrunch up her little face everytime the roll would get near her.  She also fake coughs all the time.  It cracks us up.  She currently doesn't liek baby food but will eat table food like it's going out of style.  We've finally got her convinced that a bottle isn't half bad.  It makes it 100% easier on Eric when I'm gone to Young women's on wednesdays and at zumba class.  She's a really easy baby to get to sleep but poor little thing is teething the last couple days.  I can see her top two coming down.  Ouch!  She's super independent at home.  She'll just dissapear crawling around everywhere.  The other day she dissapeared and I found her halfway up the stairs.  AAhhhhh, really?  Why do they grow up so fast!!!  We were lying in bed the other night and Eric starts freaking out.  He says, "Bre, shhhhhh, I hear someone coming up our stairs!!"  It was just Sadie.  When we put her down in her travel pen to sleep she'll kick as hard as she can over and over.  Thump, thump, thump.   Apparently that was the first time Eric had heard it.
Prepare yourself for a billion pictures!  Because I jsut think they're that cute!!!  Can't just choose a couple!

He's not supposed to jump ON his bed, so he jumps off it.  Sometimes he'll forget and I'll remind him so he says, "Peyton not gonna jump on my bed, just on mattress."  So we take the mattress off and away he goes.  Did I mention that Peyton always talks in third person.  Haha.

Finishing an update!

Sadie loves this baggy binkie.  Especially when we put blueberries in it.  She goes to town!
Sadie sleeps in some of the funniest positions.  I love to walk in on her sleeping a few different times because she'll always be in a new position.

I don't know why all of my instagram pictures are eentsy weensty but anywho.  We got all new windows!  16 in all and they look amazing!  So grateful that Eric's boss decided to do that!

Volcano science experiments!!  We deplete baking soda supplies around here like it's nobody's business.  That and cornstarch for the sand castles.
We've got some awesome friends around here!  We love playgroups and getting to hang with them and  play with their new toys!
Sadie now dances to music by bouncing up and down and waving her hand as well.  Pretty darn cute.  I like to sing the ABC song over and over and over just to watch her go at it.

Peyton loves being a cowboy, being a bad guy with light sabers, and using his imagination!

We bought a big pack of sparklers for the 4th of July that we didn't get to use all of.  Sparklers in March rock!  We lit sparkler after sparkler and I can assure you, this was one happy camper!

Happy St. Paticks Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!!!

We had a good day!  A silly leprechaun ransacked our house.  He tipped over all the chairs and furniture, dyed the toilot water green, the milk and water green and dumped out all our green sprinkles.  He also strung green yarn around our whole house that we had to follow that led us to a treasure!!  Green chocolates, necklaces, headbands and clothes!
I love seeing the world through the eye's of my children!  Simple things like this are so darn exciting around here.  Peyton is convinced that the leprechaun is a cow.  Umm.... ok.

life according to my iphone

We were over at our friend's the Kemps and Peyton found a bumblebee costume.  He was really upset when it was time to go home and my friend Joy just told Peyton he could have it.  It didn't fit anyone at their house anymore.  He was happy as a ...... bee!  Ha, So on the way to our next stop, he put his easter basket over his head to shield the sun and he was out!
Love this boy!  He's at such a fun age that we can be silly together!  He's so fun to have a converstaion with!
And One of his current obsessions is bad guys with light sabers and easter baskets.  We were sword fighting with serving spoons and apparently having an easter bsket on the top of your head makes you a bad guy!  Those were our bad guy faces
Crawling everywhere now!!!  Her favortie room is Peyton's.  All the toys are in there and they will play for hours together.  But yes, occasionally I have to play referee!
Happy baby!!  Still only two teeth in there!
So, a certain husband of mine sometimes does crazy things..... that's makes me have to work 10 times harder than I should.  He put some sparkling apple cider in the freezer.  Did YOU know that if you did that, it would explode.  Peyton had a blast after I let him play with it in the sink while I cleaned and cleaned that freezer!  Sheesh, no worries though, I still love him.
Peyton fell asleep on me the other day and I relish this soooooooooo much!  He's getting to be such a big boy but in moments liek this, I just hold him breathing him in and think, "but he still is just a baby!"  For pete's sake, he's only 2 1/2!!!
Now, back to the fact that he is just 2 1/2!  He's curious that one.  I walked into the kitchen after sitting in the living room, feeding a sick Sadie when I heard Peyton yell from the kitchen. "It's raining!  It's raining."  Indeed.
We had an "unbirthday" for him the other day.  I think he saw soemthing on TV about blowing out candles and having birthday cake because he's been fixated on this idea.  Well, I kept telling him I would make him a cake after we got eggs.  Well, we went shopping for eggs...... so we started a birthday cake.  He helped with a bucket load of sprinkles on top.  We wrote Happy Unbirthday Peyton and stuck candles in.  He blew them out and commenced digging right in, fingers and all.
There's his little chin that was glued shut.  IT's still not completely healed but it's getting there.

My kids, my life!  Love these two!  I just like to squish them up all day!!!
My computer is being stupid and not letting me add the rest of the pictures so I'll have to do another Iphone picture update sooonnnnn........  peace.
